Psyop

This is an advert i found on the Psyop website. This is one of my favorites. The nature of this advert suits the identity of the company. Its colorful and fast moving, suiting the idea of a race.

What attracted me to this piece was mainly the way it is directed. It involves many different techniques of direction. For example, in the racing scene, the camera becomes wild and shaky, to establish an uneasy or unpredictable mood.

As part of our New York trip we visited this company and had a look into their work and studio. It was such a beneficial visit, and definately an eye opener into how they work together. This was the first visit into a professional design studio, and made me recognize the standards of technical ability that is required to work in a professional studio.

We also sat and watched a show reel of their work, and was talked through the work process. I liked especially the coca cola advert they showed us. The attention to detail was very intriguing to me, and made me recognize how such attention to detail, with the right patient approach, can go a long way.
