Groovy Peas - flash animation test

This is a test i did over the Christmas hos in Flash. As i am considering using Flash for my Major Project, i took on a challenge of creating simple shapes and animating them, paying close attention to principles of animation, and generally trying to get a feel for how i can bring things to life using this programme.

So here's the finished piece titled 'Groovy Peas,' enjoy!

What have i learned - I now know how to effectively use and set up kits in flash by using symbols. I have also got a feel for how i can introduce the physics of animation, however i have bent the rules slightly in some parts which i think adds to part of the humor and was necessary for certain parts. For example the 4th pea lingers at the apex of the jump, giving chance for the speech to be timed accordingly to the reveal of the character, that i feel works well.

I now feel a lot more confident about working in Flash and have a general idea of how much time it takes to carry out my ideas. As this is a simple and minimal animation, it took two rather long nights to put together. Taking on board the setting up of the kits, which is very time consuming, however it does benefit the animating process, and is quicker and more efficient to work with once set up.

I sent this piece over to Killogramme to see what feedback i got, and what i can improve on. Also asking a few questions about my new ideas about working with film in Flash. These are screenshots of the emails between me and Claire at Killogramme.
