Erwin Wurm never fails to help me open up my mind! He drags me in and i get involved in each piece. As i try to decipher and come to terms with them, they stick in my mind and i slowly become obsessed! As these pieces aren't something to look at for hours on end, but more of a thought or proposition that you take away with you. To me there is no solid explanation, only what you can see and understand as an individual.
I have chosen this piece 'Leopoldstadt' because it gives no personality or identification. Using this view point, it makes the viewer concentrate on the concept ,or the situation as a whole, rather than the identity or individualism of this person.
Here i am drawn towards the persons right arm, as it travels beyond the frame of the photo. This is unsettling and makes the viewer toy with the idea of what could possibly be happening beyond this photograph, and why it has been cut off.
