kung fu panda scene

Ive tracked down this scene from the film 'Kung-Fu Panda!' I was attracted to this particular scene because of its direction and the role of fast moving and unpredictable camera angles, used to create an unsettling atmosphere.

My experience in this field has yet to grow, but on some levels i can relate to some of these techniques used to direct this scene. Recently, I have experimented with directing the camera tool in 'Maya' to show the features on a 3D model of a bottle. Revolving the bottle and zooming in on various features, exposing the model to its full potential.

With this technique considered, i have taken this scene to focus on because of its use of direction. The beginning of the clip zooms dramatically towards to bottom of the pit, then rotates upwards to focus on the character. Flowing together in an intense manner.

The camera moves on a grounded view point, intensely focusing and following the chains and exposing the character. The unpredictability of the cameras activity, imply the madness and wild characteristics of the individual featured in this clip.
