Cloth birds and slugs

This video was done by an artist called David Firth (a video made for his Uni project!) that i came across when i was bored and fancied a laugh at his latest update of 'Devvo' and 'Salad Fingers' on his website. [link] It turns out a lot of his early work, and work on music videos, is achieved to some very professional and highly creative standards. The style of editing is what got me interested in this piece, and the mixture of viewpoints

He has really captured the spontaneous movements of the insects in the editing, and the unpredictable soundtrack is complimentary to these movements. Reminds me of Chris Cunningham's work and how he approaches editing in pieces such as 'Rubber Johnny'.

I also like the way he has used light to represent the movements and soundtrack. This is a technique i am wanting to look into for my work, and this is a strong example of what i would like to experiment with.
